Carene Davis-Stitt is a founding partner in DeltaNet Management Consultants. Dr. Davis-Stitt helps client companies build high-performance teams. She develops and delivers training programs designed to specifically address individual client needs, and she provides coaching, facilitating, conflict resolution, and on-the-job training services to continually raise team skill and performance levels.

Professional Experience

Her research work in Social Psychology has focused on how the powerful forces generated by our group affiliations affect our individual behavior. DeltaNet is her vehicle to apply those principles in the business world to break down the walls between departments, operating divisions, management and the managed, and perhaps most important, between businesses and their customers.

Prior to earning her Ph.D., Dr. Davis-Stitt worked in the electronics industry in sales and systems support roles. She was also employed as a research assistant and as an instructor by the University of Oregon Department of Psychology during her post-graduate work.

Post-doctoral employment has included teaching as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Oregon Psychology Department and consulting projects with a variety of different kinds of businesses.

Dr. Davis-Stitt has created team-building programs that are particularly effective in developing cross-functional and cross-cultural teams. She has applied her training, coaching, and facilitating expertise to develop successful teams for client businesses in North America and in Europe, including teams with members from diverse functional, cultural and national backgrounds.

She is a certified mediator for the US Postal Service.

International Experience

Born and raised in the USA, she has lived with her family in The Netherlands and in Germany. She has traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.

While living in Europe, Dr. Davis-Stitt performed sales and system support tasks for U.S. companies in the computer and data entry businesses.

She also served in a volunteer capacity as President of the Parent/Teacher Organization for the Munich International School in Germany. These experiences allowed her to develop a broad, global cultural and business perspective and a unique view of interpersonal attitudes and relationships within a variety of countries and cultures and across their national and cultural boundaries.

Education and Associations

Dr. Davis-Stitt was awarded the BA summa cum laude with distinction in Psychology from San Diego State University. She earned her MS and her Ph.D. in Social Psychology at the University of Oregon. Her expertise includes Intergroup Relations, Group Processes, and Social Attitudes.

She is currently a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the American Psychological Association Consulting Psychology Division, the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, and the Association for Conflict Resolution. She has served on the Board of Directors of Community Mediation Services in Eugene, Oregon.

She is an active member of Soroptimist International (SI), and a Past President of SI Eugene. She is currently serving as Governor for the Northwestern Region of Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc. and as Editor of The International Soroptimist magazine.
